We're building THE next big social app in a startup-minded squad within Dailymotion, and we need a leader to take us to the next level.

You'll be leading a talented team of 3 Android engineers, 3 iOS engineers, working closely with 2 Python backend developers, QA, Design, and Product to create an experience used by millions of users

As Head of Mobile Engineering, you'll guide both iOS and Android teams, make critical technical decisions, and work hands-on alongside the team to turn vision into reality. You'll have full autonomy to shape how we build and grow, working hand in hand with Product to deliver an app that's fast, smooth, and loved by millions.

  • Own the delivery of the product vision from technical strategy to execution
  • Make key technical decisions, balancing innovation, velocity, and tech debt in a high-growth environment
  • Lead, mentor, and grow your mobile engineering team, fostering extreme ownership and cross-functional collaboration
  • Establish clear performance objectives and provide guidance to ensure team alignment with business and technical goals
  • Continuously improve how we build optimize workflows, tools, processes, and engineering culture
  • Provide technical direction that influences the entire company and sets the bar for engineering excellence
  • Drive AI integration opportunities to enhance user experience and product innovation
  • Scale the team as the product grows, building a world-class mobile engineering organization

Qualifications

✅ Requirements

  • Strong track record building and scaling high-traffic B2C consumer apps (ideally social, media, or entertainment)
  • Proven experience leading both iOS and Android teams in fast-paced, product-driven environments
  • Deep technical expertise in mobile architectures, performance optimization, and engineering best practices
  • Product mindset genuine passion for crafting exceptional user experiences with a sharp eye for UX
  • Data-driven leadership ability to make decisions based on metrics, analytics, and business impact
  • Hands-on approach comfortable rolling up your sleeves and contributing technically when needed
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Design, QA, and Backend teams
  • Fluent in English / French is a plus

🌟 Nice to Have

  • Expertise in streaming video, media frameworks, and real-time content delivery
  • Experience with AI/ML integration in mobile applications
  • Knowledge of modern mobile frameworks: Jetpack Compose, SwiftUI, Kotlin Coroutines, Combine
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and conversion optimization
  • Background in startup or high-growth environments with rapid iteration cycles
  • Track record of building and scaling engineering teams from small to large
  • Active involvement in mobile engineering communities or open-source contributions

  • HR Interview with Marvin (30 min) Get to know each other, discuss your motivations, and align on role expectations
  • Manager Interview with Antoine, your future manager (45 min) Deep dive into the role requirements, assess your technical background and problem-solving approach, and challenge your skills through concrete scenarios

  • Technical Case Study (1 hour) Work on a take-home case study followed by a presentation to Raphaël and a team member, this gives you a chance to showcase your technical thinking and understand what you'd be working on, while helping us evaluate the fit with our needs

  • Leadership Interview with N+2 (1 hour) Discuss long-term career goals, understand how this role fits into Dailymotion's broader strategy, and explore growth opportunities within the organization
