Head of Mobile App & Web
Y ou willownand run mobile and web as a unified product system, ensuring clear product ownership, strong technical alignment, and consistent delivery across all customer-facing digital experiences.You’llalsoalignment between product intent, engineering execution, and customer outcomes across sales and service.
About the Team
Telstra Digital is Telstra’s e-commerce and digital customer service channel for consumer and small business customers, supporting millions every week across platforms like Telstra.com.au and theMyTelstraapp. We also manage Telstra Plus, our loyalty program with over6 million members
Our team of more than 400 people, based in Australia and India, includes content strategists, engineers, product owners, designers, CX specialists, writers, analysts, accessibility experts, as well as commercial and operations staff. Our responsibilities extend to messaging platforms used by our callcentresand the ongoing development of AI-powered chat solutions. We also havea number ofwhole-of-company responsibilities such as accessibility and our websites which serve all customers and stakeholders.
WhatYou’llDo
The role sits withinourDigital Customer Successspaceand leads the teams responsible for buildingand running mobile and web experiences.You will beaccountable for what is built and how it is delivered, working in lockstep with engineering leadership who are accountable for how it is engineered and scaled.
In this role,you’llhave accountability for:
Product Ownership & Management (Primary)
Establishingand leadinga strong product ownership model across mobile and web
EnsuringProduct Owners are accountable for outcomes, prioritisation, and decisions
Maintainingclear ownership boundaries across journeys, platforms, and services
Drivingproduct strategy and backlog aligned to commercial priorities
CoachingProduct Owners into senior operators with end-to-end accountability
Technical Understanding & Engineering Partnership
Maintainingstrong working understanding of mobile, web, and API architectures
Ensuringproduct decisions are grounded in technical capability and constraints
Partneringclosely with Engineering Leads and Chapter Leads on delivery planning and trade-offs
Supportingalignment on scalable, reusable solutions across teams
Balancingdelivery pace with long-term platform integrity
Delivery & Team Leadership (Mobile + Web)
Leadingteams responsible for building and running mobile and web applications (iOS, Android, web)
Drivinga balanced delivery approach across frontend and backend
Maintainingexecution discipline across prioritisation, dependencies, and delivery cadence
Ensuringhigh standardsof delivery quality, stability, and performance
Buildingand leadinghigh-performing teams across product, engineering, and delivery

About you
To be successful in this role,you’llneed:
Proven experience leading senior Product Owners or product teams at scale
Strongtrack recordof owning product strategy, backlog, and outcomes
Experience leading teams that build andoperatemobile and web applications
Ability to coach and lift product capability across a team
Strong working knowledge of mobile (iOS/Android), web, and API architectures
Comfortable operating alongside engineering leadership and making informed trade offs
Ability to translate between product intent and technical delivery
Strong capability managing delivery across multiple teams and disciplines
Ability tomaintaindelivery performance in complex environments
