Head of Mine Technical Services

Context:

Gladys Synergies is recruiting on behalf of a major mining client experiencing strong production growth. This role plays a key part in optimizing mine planning, grade control, and operational performance in a high-volume environment.

• Salary: 5 000 - 10 000 net monthly, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement mine planning and grade control strategies aligned with production targets
• Develop and oversee short-, medium-, and long-term mining plans (daily, weekly, monthly, annual)
• Ensure accurate execution of mining plans through survey control and performance tracking
• Design and manage ore blending strategies to optimize plant feed quality
• Supervise geological modeling, drilling programs, and grade control processes
• Coordinate supporting mining operations (water management, dewatering, infrastructure)

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary technical team

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

Profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mining operations

• At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role

• Strong expertise in mine planning, geology, and data analysis

• Proficiency in GEOVIA, Surpac, AutoCAD, or similar tools

• Fluent in English (French is a plus)

• Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making skills

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-production environment
