Make an Impact
We are seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Head of Merchandising – APAC to join our Regional Merchandising team in Hong Kong. In this leadership role, you will define and drive merchandising strategies for our licensed brands, Michael Kors and Diesel, across key Asian markets including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia.
You will play a critical role in translating global brand vision into impactful regional execution, ensuring strong product relevance, optimized assortments, and sustainable business growth across diverse and complex markets.
This is a hybrid position based in our Hong Kong office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. This role reports directly to the SVP Brand.
What you will do in this role:
Regional Merchandising Leadership & Strategy
• Lead the development and execution of APAC merchandising strategies aligned with global brand direction and regional commercial priorities
• Drive a tiered assortment approach across markets, balancing global consistency with local consumer relevance
• Act as the regional voice in influencing global product strategies and future collections
Commercial Ownership & Business Impact
• Partner closely with regional commercial teams to drive revenue growth, margin optimization, and inventory efficiency
• Identify business opportunities through data-driven insights and translate them into actionable merchandising strategies
• Ensure strong alignment between product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market execution
Senior Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the key interface between global brand teams, regional leadership, key accounts, and cross-functional partners
• Represent merchandising in high-level business reviews and key account discussions
• Influence decision-making across functions to ensure alignment and execution excellence
Market Intelligence & Consumer Insights
• Leverage deep understanding of APAC markets to anticipate trends, consumer needs, and competitive dynamics
• Monitor competitive landscape and identify opportunities to strengthen brand positioning
• Provide strategic recommendations based on performance analysis and market insights
Distribution Strategy & Network Optimization
• Oversee regional distribution strategy, including door count management and expansion opportunities
• Ensure optimal brand presence across key markets and channels
Trade Shows & Regional Execution Excellence
• Lead merchandising strategy and execution for regional trade shows and key customer events
• Ensure impactful brand storytelling and strong commercial outcomes
Who You Are
• 10+ years of merchandising experience in fashion, accessories, or consumer goods, with strong exposure to premium or luxury brands
• Proven leadership experience in regional or multi-market environments, ideally within APAC
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to drive business performance and influence P&L outcomes
• Deep understanding of APAC consumer behavior, retail landscapes, and cultural nuances
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
• Highly analytical, strategic, and comfortable navigating complexity in a fast-paced, international environment
