Position: Head of Medical Imaging

Location: Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq

Contract Details: Full Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Medical Imaging for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community. The Candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the medical imaging department, including managing staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the medical imaging department, including managing staff schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of diagnostic imaging services.
• Monitor and evaluate department performance to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate interpretation and timely reporting of diagnostic imaging results.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new imaging techniques.
• Manage the department budget and ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all imaging procedures and results.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors and Master's degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a medical imaging department.
• Valid license to practice as a Radiologist in Iraq.
• Proven experience with various imaging modalities, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make critical decisions.
• Proficient in using imaging software and electronic medical records systems.
