Your Role:

As a Head of Medical Department, you will be responsible for the following:

Medical Management and Leadership:

• Align local strategies and tactical plans with business realities.
• Manage on-time and on-budget execution of medical affairs initiatives.
• Lead the development and execution of medical strategies.
• Oversee KPIs and metrics for the Medical Affairs Department.

Talent Management and Development:

• Conduct talent reviews and follow up on development plans.
• Develop training programs for onboarding and continuous education.
• Ensure healthy succession planning for leadership roles.

Regulatory and Compliance Management:

• Collaborate to resolve regulatory, reputational, and compliance issues.
• Deliver on post-marketing commitments on time.

Scientific and Technical Leadership:

• Contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions in cross-functional teams.
• Support local research proposals aligned with global data generation priorities.

Who You Are:

Education:

• University degree (preferably in a scientific field).
• Advanced scientific degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD) required.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in Medical Affairs.
• Experience in team leadership and mentoring new hires is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong scientific, business, and compliance acumen.
• Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.
