SAS is looking for a talented and ambitious media relations professional to help strengthen our position and reputation in Norway.
This is an opportunity for someone who has already built strong experience in journalism, communications, PR, or media relations and is now ready to take on broader responsibility in one of Scandinavia’s most visible companies.
You understand the Norwegian media landscape, have sound editorial judgment, communicate clearly, and are motivated by the opportunity to grow.
You will become part of SAS’ Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability team. We work closely across Norway, Denmark, and Sweden to strengthen, develop, and protect the SAS brand and to support SAS’ role as a driving force in aviation.
You will be SAS’ key media contact in Norway and help lead our day-to-day media relations activities in the Norwegian market.
You will handle both proactive and reactive communications, develop relationships with journalists, identify relevant stories, and help ensure that SAS communicates consistently, credibly, and effectively.
The role combines substantial responsibility with practical execution. On some days, you may advise senior leaders or help manage a complex media situation. On others, you may draft a press release, update a media list, prepare a briefing, coordinate an interview, or respond directly to a journalist.
We are looking for someone who understands that excellent communications depend on both strategic judgment and attention to detail. No task is too small when it contributes to the success of the team.
You will join SAS’ Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability team and work closely with colleagues across Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Together, the team strengthens, develops, and protects the SAS brand while supporting SAS’ strategy, operations, public affairs agenda, and sustainability ambitions.
You may currently work in a newsroom, communications team, public affairs function, PR agency, corporate press office, or another environment where media judgment and clear communication are essential.
You have probably gained several years of relevant experience, but we are more interested in your capabilities, potential, and motivation than in your current title.
We believe you have:
Experience from an airline or the transport industry is not required. Curiosity, strong judgment, and an ability to understand a complex business are more important.
The kind of colleague we hope to find

You will join a highly engaged Scandinavian team working across media relations, PR, corporate communications, public affairs, and sustainability. You will collaborate with experienced colleagues across Norway, Denmark, and Sweden and have opportunities to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
The role provides broad exposure to SAS’ business, leadership, strategy, operations, customers, and stakeholders. It is an opportunity to build your capabilities in media relations and corporate communications while making a visible contribution to SAS in Norway and across Scandinavia.
At SAS, we are dedicated to caring for each other, delighting our travelers, and driving the transformation towards sustainable aviation. As a future colleague on our team, you’ll join a culture where we work collaboratively towards common goals, recognize each other's contributions, and celebrate successes. Our focus is on safe, sustainable, and punctual execution, and we are committed to protecting our planet while transforming SAS for the future. This is an empowering workplace where you can thrive, grow, and take ownership of your work. Join us at SAS and be part of shaping the future of aviation!
