Head of Marketing | Retail, FMCG

The company is a leading Hong Kong-based company in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail sectors, recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and customer-centric solutions. With a strong foothold in competitive markets, the organization serves a diverse customer base, including retail consumers, institutional partners, and key accounts. As the company pursues ambitious growth in a dynamic retail landscape, it seeks a visionary Head of Marketing to lead transformative marketing strategies, elevate brand presence, and drive customer acquisition across Hong Kongs retail and FMCG markets.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Marketing will spearhead innovative marketing and customer acquisition strategies to fuel business growth and enhance brand equity in the FMCG and retail sectors. Leading a dynamic team of professionals, you will oversee integrated campaigns across different sales channels, ensuring alignment with sales goals and market demands. This role demands a creative, strategic, and results-driven leader with deep expertise in retail and FMCG marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to drive brand visibility, customer engagement, and revenue growth across retail, e-commerce, and institutional channels in Hong Kongs competitive FMCG market.
• Lead a high-performing marketing team to create and deliver impactful campaigns, in-store promotions, public relations initiatives, social media strategies, community engagement programs, and strategic partnerships that resonate with retail consumers.
• Oversee integrated marketing efforts across digital platforms, physical retail environments, and e-commerce to maximize brand reach, customer loyalty, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to align marketing initiatives with revenue goals, driving market share growth and fostering strong customer relationships in the retail sector.
• Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, leveraging data-driven KPIs and analytics to track campaign performance, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement in marketing effectiveness.
• Innovate and refresh existing FMCG brands and product lines, using consumer insights and market trends to create compelling offerings that maintain a competitive edge in retail markets.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Marketing Department and other business units, including product development and operations, to ensure seamless execution of retail-focused marketing initiatives.
• Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all channels, adhering to Hong Kongs regulatory standards and FMCG industry best practices.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify retail trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer preferences, delivering actionable insights to senior leadership to strengthen market positioning.
• Mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence to achieve ambitious retail-driven goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the FMCG or retail industries.
• Proven track record of driving brand equity, customer engagement, and revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies in Hong Kongs retail and FMCG markets.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, P&L management, campaign analytics, and forecasting, with proficiency in leveraging marketing tools to optimize performance in retail environments.
• Demonstrated ability to revitalize brands and introduce innovative FMCG products in a competitive, fast-paced market.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a proven ability to inspire and manage diverse teams to deliver outstanding results in retail marketing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building cross-functional relationships and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and marketing analytics platforms, with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven retail environment.
