 Head of Marketing

Location: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time

Reports To: CEO

Salary: Up to R150000 per Month (depending on working commitment)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced, commercially focused Head of Marketing to lead marketing across a portfolio of businesses and brands within an established technology environment.

The role will be responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy, strengthening brand positioning, supporting B2B sales and driving commercial growth across South Africa, Southern Africa and selected African markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy across multiple brands.
• Drive brand positioning, messaging, brand refreshes and brand consistency.
• Lead website redesign and digital marketing initiatives.
• Develop B2B sales enablement materials, including presentations, proposals, brochures and capability documents.
• Strengthen customer communications, engagement, retention and account growth.
• Develop content, PR, thought leadership, case studies and customer success stories.
• Build brand awareness and market credibility across African markets.
• Manage internal marketing resources and external agencies/specialists.
• Establish marketing KPIs, budgets, processes and reporting.
• Work closely with the CEO, Sales and other stakeholders to ensure marketing supports commercial objectives.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
• 8+ years' marketing experience, including senior-level responsibility.
• Strong B2B marketing experience with a commercial focus.
• Proven experience in marketing strategy, brand management and sales enablement.
• Experience managing website redesigns and external agencies.
• Strong content, PR, thought leadership and customer marketing experience.
• Experience marketing complex products or solutions where trust and credibility are important.
• Experience in payments, fintech, financial services, banking, SaaS or enterprise technology would be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to African markets would be beneficial.
