Join Veolia, a global leader with over 170 years of experience, operating in 40+ countries with 220,000 employees worldwide, including 6,500 staff across 300 sites in Australia and New Zealand. As part of our team, you'll contribute to crucial environmental solutions through our innovative Water, Waste, Energy and Industrial Services, helping protect the environment and address essential human needs for a sustainable future.
The Opportunity
As Head of Major Projects, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and delivery of Veolia's most significant and complex infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Sitting within the Technical & Innovation department, you will bring together deep commercial acumen and technical expertise to drive favourable outcomes across the full project lifecycle, from pipeline development through to delivery. A natural negotiator and strategic thinker, you will establish robust contracting and procurement frameworks, manage risk across EPC contracts, joint ventures and SPVs, and represent Veolia's interests with partners, contractors, government bodies and other key stakeholders.
Equally important is your ability to lead and inspire; you will manage and mentor a high-performing team, foster a collaborative working environment, and build strong relationships across Veolia's lines of business. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of landmark projects, including Energy-from-Waste facilities, large-scale renewables and desalination plants, and leave a lasting mark on Australia's infrastructure landscape.
Note that relevant high level Energy from Waste project management and/or project development / implementation experience will be highly regarded.
