Head of Logistics - Kenya
Location: Mombasa, Kenya

Leverage a strong brand presence and build something new. Our client, a globally recognised logistics and shipping group with an established footprint in Kenya, is seeking a forward-thinking Head of Logistics to lead the creation of a new logistics entity in Mombasa

This is a rare opportunity to combine entrepreneurial execution with the backing of a trusted, well-known brand. You’ll be responsible for building operations from the ground up, defining strategy, recruiting talent, and delivering a best-in-class logistics offering for the Kenyan market, and driving commercial growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the full establishment of a new logistics business in Kenya, from legal setup to service launch

• Develop commercial and operational strategies across freight forwarding and contract logistics

• Build strong carrier and customer relationships to drive business development and long-term growth

• Oversee multimodal logistics operations, ensuring service quality and cost-efficiency

• Ensure compliance with national regulations and industry standards

• Recruit and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of ownership and collaboration

• Manage the financial performance of the entity, including P&L responsibility

What You’ll Bring to the Table

• At least 10 years’ senior experience in logistics, particularly in freight forwarding and/or contract logistics

• Strong understanding of the Kenyan logistics landscape and regulatory environment

• Proven experience building or scaling operations in a growth market

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive commercial and operational success from day one

• Fluent in English; Swahili language skills are a plus
