Job Description

  • Lead the legal strategy and governance for all digital transformation initiatives, ensuring compliant, scalable, and commercially viable execution of strategic digital platforms including AdTech, Gaming, DCB, App Store, OTT, and emerging digital ecosystems.

  • Provide strategic legal counsel on telecom, commercial, Merger and Acquisition, Tax VAT, Human resources and digital business matters, enabling business growth while safeguarding organizational interests against regulatory, contractual, and operational risks.

  • Drive complex contract negotiations, drafting, vetting, and standardization of high-value agreements including commercial contracts, technology partnerships, vendor agreements, SLAs, NDAs, and digital platform collaborations.

  • Act as a key legal advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders by delivering commercially focused legal opinions, risk assessments, and practical solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Lead dispute resolution and strategic negotiations involving distributors, vendors, partners, landlords, and regulatory stakeholders to minimize financial exposure, operational disruption, and reputational risks.

  • Develop and implement proactive legal risk management frameworks, including legal risk registers, compliance gap assessments, mitigation plans, and governance controls across telecom and digital operations.

  • Ensure continuous alignment with local regulatory requirements, corporate governance standards, and group legal policies while supporting the company’s digital ambition and commercial expansion strategy.

  • Build strong engagement with external legal counsels, regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders, and Group Legal teams to ensure best-in-class legal support and strategic collaboration.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing legal team by fostering a culture of accountability, business partnership, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

  • Drive process optimization, contract lifecycle management improvements, and legal service efficiency to ensure timely delivery of legal support, superior stakeholder experience, and sustainable business enablement.

Academic Qualification

  • LLB (Hons) from a reputed university with enrollment as advocate in the Supreme court of Bangladesh. LLM or Barrister at Law (UK) is preferable.

Job Experience Required

  • 10 years’ experience as in-house counsel in major operations with commercial responsibility in MNC or big commercial organization; Experience in digital business is preferred
