Job Description

Are you an experienced labour negotiator who thrives at the intersection of business, people and change? Tele2 is on an exciting transformation journey, and we are now looking for a Head of Labour Relations and Negotiations to join the HR management team and act as our lead representative in all matters related to union negotiations, collective bargaining and work environment.

About the job

As Head of Labour Relations and Negotiations, you will be Tele2's primary voice towards our local union representatives, our employer’s association and our counterparts in central negotiations within the Telecom collective agreement (Telekomavtalet). You will own the union negotiation agenda end-to-end — from preparation and strategy, through the dialogue itself, to implementation and follow-up — and make sure that our labour relations remains constructive, credible and built on trust.

This is a truly pivotal role. You will be a genuine business enabler — supporting the organization both strategically and operationally as we continue to transform. You will make sure that labour law, collective agreements and work environment responsibilities are not seen as hurdles, but as a platform that allows the business to move forward with confidence and speed.

What you will do

  • Lead and drive negotiations with local union representatives across Tele2 in Sweden.
  • Represent Tele2 in central negotiations and act as the company's main interface towards our employer’s association (TechSverige).
  • Own Tele2's approach to the Telecom collective agreement and make sure we apply and develop it in a way that serves both the business and our employees.
  • Develop our work environment (arbetsmiljö) agenda together with HR, managers, safety representatives and our unions.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the HR Director, the HR management team, and business leaders across the organization in all labour-related matters — from large-scale change initiatives to individual cases.
  • Support and coach HR Business Partners and managers in negotiations, labour law questions, collective agreement interpretation and complex individual cases.
  • Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with our union representatives, making collaboration a real competitive advantage for Tele2.
  • Keep Tele2 ahead of the curve on Swedish labour law developments and translate them into pragmatic, business-friendly practice.

Who are you?

You are a seasoned negotiator who knows the Swedish labour market inside out. You have a solid background in union negotiations and collective agreements, and you know how to turn complex labour matters into clear, workable solutions for the business. You don't need to be a lawyer — but you have strong working knowledge of Swedish labour law (arbetsrätt) and the confidence to own it in practice. You understand the value of genuine union collaboration and build trust through early dialogue, transparency, and respect for the Swedish model.

You are a natural relationship-builder. You move easily between leadership teams and the negotiation table, and you understand that the best outcomes are reached through preparation, clarity and mutual respect. You are structured and analytical, but also pragmatic and business-minded — you know when to hold the line and when to find a new path forward.

To thrive and succeed in this role we believe that you...

  • Several years of experience leading union negotiations and collective bargaining on the Swedish market, on the employer side.
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish labour law, MBL, LAS and related legislation — applied, not theoretical.
  • Experience working with, or within, one of the main Swedish collective agreement areas (ideally Telekomavtalet or an equivalent white-collar agreement).
  • A genuine interest in work environment questions and experience driving the work environment agenda together with the rest of HR, unions and safety representatives.
  • Experience from transformation, restructuring and change programs — and the negotiations that come with them.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business strategy into a solid negotiation and social partnership agenda.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

You recognize yourself in our culture: we love structure, we hate bureaucracy. We are challengers at heart, we take accountability personally, and we get the things that really matter done — with pace and with each other.

Our union representatives (chairman’s and Chief Safety Representative) are available to answer questions regarding the working environment, employee relations, and the collaborative role this position plays within our organization.
