Position: Head of Lab & Pathology

Location: Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq

Contract Details: Full Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Lab and Pathology for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory and pathology services, with excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory and pathology department, ensuring that all services are delivered efficiently and accurately.
• Manage and lead a team of laboratory and pathology staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by the Ministry of Health.
• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory and pathology equipment.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of necessary supplies and resources.
• Collaborate with other department heads to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in laboratory and pathology technology and techniques, and implement new processes and procedures as needed.
• Prepare and manage the laboratory and pathology department's budget.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Pathology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a laboratory and pathology of which 3 years in management role.
• Extensive knowledge of laboratory and pathology procedures, equipment, and regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in the use of laboratory and pathology software and systems.
