About the Job
The Head of IT Delivery of Our client Thailand is an executive position, playing a pivotal role in the local executive management team. This role is responsible for managing IT delivery to meet the needs of various operating entities.
As the Head of IT Delivery, you will be instrumental in tailoring and delivering IT services that drive the success and innovation of our operating entities. Your strategic leadership will contribute to our continued growth and competitiveness in the market.
What you do
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic portfolio plan that aligns IT deliveries with the business objectives of the Group.
Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse range of products, ensuring they meet the specific requirements and objectives.
Financial Management: Manage the budget, financial performance, and resource allocation within a specific portfolio, optimizing operational costs and ensuring value for money.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from Our client or operating entities (incl. C-Level), including the Our client Thailand leadership and internal teams, to understand their technology needs and provide proactive solutions.
Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration while living the agile mindset.
Performance Metrics: Define and monitor Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions (incl. reporting).
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may affect service delivery, business continuity, or data security.
Compliance and Security: Ensure that IT services adhere to industry regulations and security standards, particularly within the insurance sector.
Vendor Relationships: Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, if applicable, to ensure their services align with the portfolio's objectives.
What you bring
15+ years of experience, with a focus on IT and general management. Strong knowledge of the insurance industry is a distinct advantage.
Strong understanding of insurance industry operations and IT opportunities along the value chain; knowledge of insurance business strategy, challenges, and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of modern technology and digital business models; digital marketing, application delivery techniques including AGILE delivery, Cloud, DevSecOps, and API integration strategies. Broad understanding of delivery and operations for applications including the latest tooling and collaboration platforms.
Good understanding of SDLC and DevSecOps practices.
Familiar with cloud environments and cloud native applications.
Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering practices.
GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions).
Understanding of how Large Language Models work and where they can be applied.
Experience with AI-powered coding assistants like GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q.
Agile mindset and strong focus on end-to-end delivery.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale international technology transformation/change programs covering both technology delivery and organizational change.
Strong negotiation and networking skills, excellent "client" relationship at C-level; possessing analytical thinking and methodological planning techniques; solid business judgment and advanced problem-solving skills; ability to influence and steer executive peers.
Strong intercultural and communication skills, able to deal easily with ambiguity and manage a diverse group of global and local stakeholders.
Demonstrated organizational development success including training, developing, coaching, mentoring, and mediation skills; ability to manage disputes and conflict appropriately.
Able to work effectively in a global matrix and lead teams through influence management.
