Job Description

The Head of Investor Relations is responsible for developing and executing the company's investor relations strategy, ensuring clear, consistent and transparent communication with the investment community. The role supports the company's valuation by building trusted relationships with shareholders, analysts and other financial stakeholders, while providing strategic market intelligence to senior management.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Head of Investor Relations works closely with the CEO, CFO, Head of Strategy, Executive Committee and Board to ensure the company's financial and strategic narrative is communicated effectively and consistently across all external audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations Strategy

  • Develop and implement the company's global investor relations strategy.
  • Position the company effectively within the investment community.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of shareholder expectations, market trends and peer positioning.

Investor Engagement

  • Lead relationships with institutional investors, analysts and proxy advisors.
  • Organise investor roadshows, conferences, site visits and Capital Markets Events.
  • Coordinate regular engagement with existing and prospective investors, based on proactive targeting.
  • Maintain a forward-looking Investor Relations calendar covering all key activities throughout the year.

Financial Communications

  • Produce financial communications assets: quarterly results announcements, presentations, scripts, Q&A documents and supporting materials
  • Coordinate investor communications for quarterly results.
  • Ensure consistency between financial communications, corporate messaging and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure the Investor section of the company website remains best-in-class and up to date.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor analyst models, research reports, and shifts in investor sentiments
  • Compile the company consensus by collecting individual analyst estimates, after ensuring all public information is fully understood by the analyst community
  • Oversee the production of quarterly shareholder IDs.
  • Provide regular feedback and strategic insights to the CEO, CFO, Executive Committee and Board on market participants’ sentiment about the company
  • Benchmark competitors and identify emerging market themes.

Disclosure & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable securities regulations and stock exchange disclosure requirements.
  • Support the preparation of the Annual General Meeting, in coordination with the Legal department.
  • Maintain strong governance over investor communications and disclosure processes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Communications, Sustainability, Legal and Company Secretariat.
  • Engage with business lines and regions to contribute to the development of the company's corporate narrative and messaging.
  • Support strategic transactions, acquisitions and other major corporate developments from an investor relations perspective.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Masters-level University Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Corporate Finance or Advisory.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies and capital markets.
  • Experience interacting with senior executives, institutional investors and financial analysts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage, especially German.

  • Familiarity with IR systems and tools, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
