Faculty Member Activities
- Perform Teaching Activities:
- Disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge to students
- Assist students with learning process
- Assessing student’s learning
- Perform Research Activities:
- Participate actively in specific research projects
- Propose new topics for research projects
- Maintain a program of research, scholarship or artistic creativity through which they should aspire to a national or international reputation as scholars and promotion to the rank of Professor (academic specialist rank)
- Contribute to their disciplines through publishing articles and books, presenting research findings, or disseminating their work to external audiences
- Perform Community Services:
- Participate actively in community service programs
- Propose new program for community service
Faculty Resources Management
- Manage and monitor all activities related to the Faculty Member:
- Faculty Member recruitment process
- Determine Faculty Member qualification for each course
- Mapping Faculty Member competency
- Consult problematic Faculty Member
- Fulfillment of Faculty Members’ quota
- Monitor qualification development (JJA) of Faculty Members (including supporting data)
- Advanced study planning of Faculty Member
- Supervise Deputy Head for all activities that related to Faculty Member scheduling and/or assignment for other Department
- Assist Dean for processes related to Faculty Member termination
Academic Program
- Ensure the implementation of academic policies and programs for respective Department
- Ensure academic program activities to comply with BAN PT / international accreditation criteria
- Stay up-to-date of latest trends, courses, and technology related to department, particularly those affecting academic program
- Stay up-to-date of government policy in education, particularly those affecting educational processes.
- Manage and monitor for all matters related to teaching/learning process (e.g., curriculum design, instructional, delivery, and assessment in the department).
- Develop the Term of Reference (TOR), especially for the justification of curriculum development/revision.
- Establish and ensure the Department/Program objectives and graduate competency is aligned with BINUS University vision & mission.
- Develop and implement program structures, teaching strategies, long-range planning, course distribution, curriculum mapping
- Supervise SCC/CCC for all activities related to the quality of curriculum development: Course review, Course Outline (CO) and Outline Resources (OR), course equivalent, textbook, syllabi, digital content, Rumpun Ilmu, operational table, the assessment of learning outcomes, and course scoring composition (Final exam, Mid exam, and assignment)
- Manage and monitor processes related to course distribution and curriculum mapping
- Supervise SCC/CCC for all activities related to the implementation of peer review and sit in activities, and preparation of the partner and Faculty Member for Global Learning System.
- Supervise Deputy Head for all activities related to the implementation of internship program (in collaboration with BINUS Career department and other respective units).
- Manage and monitor the research activities by coordinating it with Research Coordinator:
- Plan and monitor the research roadmap.
- Establish research goals in respective Department.
- Plan research grants and monitor their execution.
- Lead and manage the process of producing department self-evaluation report (annually).
Accreditation
- Set up, manage and maintain accreditation targeted score from BAN – PT and international accreditation.
- Manage and monitor the compliance activities and conduct document support for Borang or other national/international standard.
- Maintain annual program performance according to BAN – PT valid standard and international accreditation
- Lead and manage the department’s accreditation document development
Academic Operational Activities
- Supervise Deputy Head for all activities related to the teaching operational activities:
- Finalize teaching schedule
- Monitor faculty member attendance
- Monitor meeting schedule of Department
- Appoint thesis advisors and examiners based on their qualifications
- Prepare the substitution for thesis examiners
- Approve thesis guideline
- Resolve student complaints
- Monitor Department meeting related to Faculty Member
- Monitor PDPT data
- Approve student thesis to be proceed for thesis defense
- Manage the process in resolving the case between students and lecturers
- Supervise Head of Laboratory / Studio for all activities related to the laboratory activities:
- Design the Laboratory/Studio Program activities and guidelines
- Establish Grading system
- Monitor non-tuition revenue
- Monitor research and development activities
External Collaboration & Public Image
- Coordinate with Head of Internationalization & Partnership Program and other Units related to collaboration and internationalization program:
- International partnership for inbound or outbound students
- Visiting professors / guest lecturers
- Collaboration with national and international Higher Education Institution
- Short Course activities
- Collaboration with related industry and government
- Act as public voice of the institution that promotes Faculty/School contributions locally, nationally and internationally, especially in marketing (open house) event activities
Entrepreneurship & Employability Activities
- Manage and monitor the entrepreneurship & employability activities with related Units:
- Monitor the achievement of graduate who work at global company, and become entrepreneur
- Monitor the achievement the employability and entrepreneurship skills
- Monitor implementation of Enrichment Program
- Supervise Deputy Head in planning and implementing alumni activities (e.g. engagement & endowment)
Student Activities
- Manage and monitor the following activities by coordinating it periodically with respective Departments:
- Freshmen Enrichment Program, BINUS Festival of Innovation and Enterprise, and other programs
- Student organization activities, especially HMJ (Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan) and the community
- Student academic achievement
- The improvement activities related to student academic and non-academic achievement
- The improvement activities related to students’ soft-skills and attitude
- Students’ study period and the fulfillment of academic credit (periodically)
- Students’ community services implementation
Leadership & Management
- Identify, promote and contribute resources to develop the department strengths and manage department portfolio
- Create appropriate and strong management team for the Department
- Promote an internal organization that values effective communication
- Encourage, support, and facilitate entrepreneurial activity, identifying and pursuing external funding, and income generating activities for the Department
- Work to produce effective day-to-day internal operations
- Participate with the Management Team in strategic planning
- Manage research and community services activities by coordinating with respective Units
- Support cross department development in research, teaching and internationalization including engaging with research centers
- Coordinate high potential students to participate in national / international student competitions
- Provide monthly, semester, and annual report to direct supervisor
- Suggest improvement process related to academic activities
- Perform activities related to Quality Management System
- Perform additional tasks as required by direct supervisor
- Perform the role of lecturer as stated in Catur Dharma Perguruan Tinggi
General Requirement
- Master Degree with relevant field of Knowledge
- Jenjang Jabatan Akademik (JJA): Minimum Lektor
- Age : Minimum 26 years
- Minimum 3 years in supervisory level
- Minimum 7 years of working experience
Work Exposure/ Experience
- 3+ years of teaching experience
