Job Description


This role is responsible for leading a HR team comprising of Business Partnering, Operations, Recruitment and HR Advisory services to deliver the people initiatives and operational HR services that deliver on the HR plan as defined by the Senior Leadership team and Director, HR.
The role will form part of and collaboratively contribute to the CM, HR leadership team and the ANZ leadership team. It will also act in a business partnering capacity to senior leaders within the ANZ business and provide advice and coaching to the MD ANZ and the Director of AI.
This is a contract role covering parental leave for approx 12-14 months. The role is based between two offices in Sydney CBD and Parramatta and we have an in-office attendance of 50%.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus

  • Partner with Senior Leaders in a strategic capacity – coaching and guiding them on their leadership style, identifying people needs and levers to help deliver on their business strategy.
  • Utilise HR data and analytics to drive HR team and service performance and provide value added insight to leaders.
  • Anticipate potential people risks and put in place plans to mitigate.


Operational Management

  • Day to day management of key HR functions for:
  • Recruitment – ensure resourcing needs for the business are achieved within expected timeframes, budget and to required quality standards
  • HR Advisory services – ensuring the advisory services delivered are commercial and legal and employee risks are minimal
  • Operations – ensure accurate and timely delivery of HR Operations services
  • Act in a business partner capacity with senior leaders in ANZ on matters such as resource planning, remuneration advice & benchmarking, organisational design and change.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts for HR operational policies and processes, and management of HR queries
  • Lead, advise on and support complex employee relations activities and programmes, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant employment regulations and law.
  • Participate in the design and lead the delivery of key HR projects and initiatives for the ANZ region (e.g. Sales Capability program, EVP) and support cyclical activities as necessary (e.g. Remuneration process, talent review etc)
  • Play a direct role in the sourcing, assessment, selection and onboarding of candidates for key senior positions.


People Leadership

  • Build a high performing team of HR professionals across a broad range of HR services including recruitment, HR operations and advice.
  • Identify and feed back HR issues or areas of focus to the CM HRLT to facilitate in the development of the Corporate Markets people plan
  • Role model and drive the ways of working that underpin the desired culture.


Governance & Risk

  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support Link Group assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Functional expertise across a broad range of HR disciplines including HR business partnering, recruitment, HR operations and employee relations.
  • Current understanding and knowledge of employment law practices within ANZ.
  • Proven experience in driving organisational change programs that deliver demonstrable results.
  • Track record in building diverse, high performing HR teams.
  • Confidence, credibility and proven track record in operating, engaging and influencing at the most senior levels of an organisation.
  • Experienced presenter, facilitator and coach at senior levels
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Inclusive and collaborative in approach, with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic and unclear environments and be flexible and agile to changing business needs.
  • Sound judgement, decisiveness, initiative and the ability to prioritise.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to think critically, propose practical and cost-effective solutions, operationalise ideas and implement plans
  • A willingness and ability to take a hands on approach where needed to get things done.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and leverage data and analytics to provide practical and relevant solutions
  • Personal commitment to and visible role modelling of the organisation's behaviours and values.
  • Degree-educated in HRM or a related discipline desirable
