You will play a key role in further developing and embedding our safety culture while supporting our sites and employees in all aspects of occupational health and safety.
As part of our newly established Health & Safety team, you will have the opportunity to actively shape the function, contribute your expertise, and help drive the successful implementation of health and safety initiatives across the organization.
Your Mission
- Advise and support senior management, department managers, and team leaders on all matters relating to occupational health and safety.
- Coordinate the Health & Safety team and work closely with stakeholders across the organization to foster and sustain a strong safety culture.
- Communicate health and safety topics effectively and enhance the visibility and awareness of occupational health and safety throughout the organization.
- Drive the continuous improvement of workplace health and safety by proactively identifying and advancing key safety initiatives.
- Lead and implement your own occupational health and safety projects.
- Liaise with external consultants, industry associations, and regulatory authorities on occupational health and safety matters.
- Plan and conduct regular health and safety audits.
- Take responsibility for developing and delivering Health & Safety training programs and employee safety briefings.
How well-versed are you in these areas?
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with tact, diplomacy, and the ability to influence and persuade others.
- A technical background or completed technical vocational training.
- A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work.
- Previous leadership experience as a Team Leader, with at least 2 years of experience in a comparable role.
- Formal qualification in occupational health and safety (minimum: Occupational Safety Assistant or equivalent).
- Experience in process optimization and familiarity with internal control systems (ICS) is an advantage.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; French is an asset.
- High level of resilience, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
