Head of Growth – Personal Investing (UK)
London
Hybrid working (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office, Monday and Friday at home)
Role Purpose
The Head of Growth defines and delivers the growth strategy for Vanguard UK Personal Investing. Sitting within the Proposition function, the role leads insight‑led, performance‑driven initiatives to drive client acquisition, conversion, and long‑term client growth, working closely across the business to deliver commercial outcomes aligned to strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy & Execution
- Own the end‑to‑end growth strategy for UK Personal Investing.
- Translate strategic priorities into measurable initiatives driving acquisition, conversion, retention, and growth.
- Monitor performance and adapt plans to maximise commercial impact.
Commercial Optimisation
- Partner with CX, Marketing, Data & Analytics, and Client Services to identify, test, and scale growth opportunities to optimise key commercial levers aligning activity to the financial plan
- Embed a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Partner with Finance to forecast performance, model scenarios, and build investment cases where required
- Assess the commercial impact of risks, delays, and strategic trade‑offs.
- Ensure growth plans align to financial targets and constraints.
Value Realisation & Change
- Work with Change Enablement to define consistant value frameworks, success metrics, and benefits tracking.
- Ensure growth initiatives deliver measurable, accountable outcomes.
Partnerships & Channel Growth
- Define and deliver the UK partnership proposition working closely with our European Strategic Partnerships team
- Identify and develop new opportunities to expand reach and market share.
- Work with Business Development and cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable partnership journeys and propositions.
Market Insight & Competitor Intelligence
- Own a clear view of the UK personal investing market, client needs, and competitor propositions.
- Translate market and competitor insight into actionable growth opportunities
- Track competitor activity and market trends to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Embed insight into growth planning, experimentation, and strategic decision‑making.
Stakeholder Leadership
- Act as a senior leader within Proposition.
- Align and influence senior stakeholders across UK and European teams.
- Clearly communicate growth priorities, progress, and outcomes
Skills & Experience
- Senior experience in growth, commercial, or strategy roles, ideally in financial services or digital platforms.
- Proven delivery of acquisition, conversion, and client growth improvements.
- Strong data‑driven optimisation capability and financial acumen.
- Experience operating in complex, matrixed organisations.
- Partnerships or channel growth experience desirable.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder leadership skills.
