Shape the future of supply chain at BDR Thermea Group
Your role
BDR Thermea Group is building its Group Supply Chain function from the ground up, and this role sits at the centre of that ambition. As Head of Group Supply Chain Excellence, you are a key strategic partner to the Group Supply Chain Director. You translate supply chain strategy into tangible programmes, drive standardisation across a decentralised global organisation, and help build the operating model that will define how BDR Thermea runs its supply chain for years to come.
Together with the team, you will shape something new by driving initiatives in supply chain transformation, performance management, process harmonisation and change management. You will connect manufacturing, procurement, planning, and local supply chain teams while building the capabilities and standards BDR Thermea needs for the future. This is a role with real ownership, impact, and the opportunity to drive meaningful change across the organisation
This role is hybrid, based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. You are encouraged to spend at least two days per week in our office
Your key tasks
Define and drive the global supply chain strategy, translating it into actionable multi-year roadmaps and leading cross-functional transformation programmes with measurable outcomes.
Drive Business Process Excellence across supply chain, standardising and harmonising end-to-end processes, defining group policy, and establishing a consistent way of working between group and local teams.
Build and develop the SC Excellence team: recruit, onboard, and create a team development roadmap aligned with the transformation phases.
Develop KPI frameworks and advanced analytics to enable data-driven decision-making, and establish the governance needed to move from reactive reporting to proactive risk management.
Lead supply chain workstreams in industrial transfers, digital design and deployment, and data management, ensuring continuity, cost efficiency, and scalability across the organisation
What you bring
A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration.
15+ years of experience in supply chain, with a strong track record in process improvement and managing complex, multi-site programmes
At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and large-scale supply chain initiatives.
Proven experience driving standardisation and change in a decentralisedorganisation, shifting mindsets, not just processes.
Experience building a function or team from scratch; you are comfortable with ambiguity and energised by the challenge of creating structure where little exists.
Nice to have
Professional supply chain certification (e.g. APICS CSCP or CPIM).
Experience working with S/4HANA or similar ERP platforms in a multi-site rollout context.
What we offer
A permanent contract.
A strong monetary compensation package, including a solid pension scheme.
