Department Details

Identifies, manages, and applies resources in collaboration with global partners, guided by innovation, experience, organizational goals, clinical and operational strategies. Leads and facilitates strategy development projects in support of clinical, operational, research and business objectives evaluating growth, profitability, clinical quality, and partnership strategy. Presents recommendations to the internal and external partner leadership team.Responsible for the development and execution of vision and strategic direction as established by the executive team. Leads functional experts to deliver upon operational and clinical priorities, and has ultimate responsibility for working closely with partners on a range of complex assignment, leading in a team environment while using independent judgement and critical thinking skills to gather data, solve issues, and drive results for the business/partner.
Utilizes a variety of data mining tools, techniques and applications. Leverages competitive research and market analysis for assigned market or region to make recommendations. Keeps current on key economic, social, and political trends throughout the world; continually balances building market strength with appropriate business risk. Communicates and presents critical data, report summaries, market analyses, and operational recommendations to all levels of management. Generates reports to track goal alignment and key metrics over the planning horizon.
Provides recommendations for clinical, operational, and business development in current markets, reports challenges and successes. Establishes cross-team integration by facilitating interrelationships and collaboration between major and sub-functions within Sanford. Displays confidence in decisions and the fortitude to follow through with strong emotional intelligence. Adopts a multicultural perspective and practices cultural humility in cross-cultural work. Demonstrates strength in identifying appropriate cultural communication challenges and ability to resolve and overcome obstacles.
Adjusts departmental priorities and resource allocations to support changing needs. Clearly communicates the importance of always achieving clinical and business results through actions that demonstrate integrity and building customer and team trust.
Translates Sanford organizational culture into country-specific language and context for implementation in established relationships. Advises others on tailoring communication to adapt to others' cultures and perspectives. Uses the appropriate amount, pace, and style of communication for each situation. Identifies department issues, problems, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Manages cross-cultural team of both domestic and international resources. Promotes knowledge sharing across teams, divisions, and markets. Demonstrates operational determination during all phases of market assessment, strategic plan development, and implementation of projects.
Reviews and consults on final strategic plans in collaboration with leadership and key stakeholders. Carries out strategies and tasks in support of the mission and goals of the organization reflecting a servant leader attitude and purpose driven resilience. Demonstrates true passion to drive and reinforce global healthcare and international healthcare sustainability to pillar Sanford World Clinic initiatives.
Ongoing travel to international partner sites required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.

Prefer education and experience demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity, as well as respect when working with people from diverse backgrounds. Five years' experience in leadership and/or management required. Career operations experience and other areas of operational grit considered. Healthcare experience preferred.
Prefer proven experience implementing process designs and/or re-designs utilizing Six sigma/Lean thinking/Design thinking training and certification.
Proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking) preferred.
