Job Description

We are now looking for a Head of Funding to Lead the Bank’s Funding and Capital Markets Activities.

Do you want to play a key role in executing the bank’s funding strategy? We are looking for an experienced Funding professional who reports directly to the Group Treasurer and is responsible for the bank’s funding across capital markets. In this role, you will influence liquidity, investor relations, and financing solutions together with top professionals.

Treasury and ALM team is responsible for Aktia’s funding and liquidity management, financial risk management, capital and liquidity planning and funds transfer pricing.

Key Responsibilities

As Head of Funding, you’ll be responsible for leading the bank’s funding activities in MTN, CB, CP, private placement, deposit and capital loan markets. You’ll be responsible for developing investor relations and banking partnerships across DCM markets. In the role, you’ll

• Prepare funding and liquidity plans together with the ALM team
• Participate in regulatory liaison and credit limit preparations
• Manage documentation in cooperation with the Legal team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Contribute to other treasury tasks as needed

Needed experience and skills

To succeed in the role, we expect you to have strong experience in funding across capital markets, preferably in Treasury but possibly also in DCM. Key qualifications for the role include:

• Several years of experience in financial instruments and bond issuance
• Solid understanding of industry regulation and contract law
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish or Swedish
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team and a proactive, solution-oriented approach

The key stakeholders in this role include Legal, Risk Management, Investor Relations, as well as external banks and institutional investors and your colleagues in Treasury and ALM team.
