Head of Finance Systems & Process - Oracle Fusion ERP & EPM

  • Lead the ongoing evolution of a major Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM environment.
  • Influence the future of finance systems, processes and transformation across the business.
  • Work with senior leaders, enterprise platforms and large-scale transformation initiatives.

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Finance Systems & Process to lead the governance, optimisation and ongoing evolution of Kinetic's brand new Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM platforms.

Reporting into the Finance leadership team, this role will act as the bridge between Finance, Technology and our delivery partners, ensuring our finance systems, processes and controls continue to deliver value long after implementation.

You will own the finance systems roadmap, governance framework, change approvals, process design standards and continuous improvement backlog. You'll play a critical role in driving adoption, improving operational efficiency, enabling future capability and ensuring the platform continues to support business growth across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Finance at Kinetic, leading the ongoing evolution of a modern Oracle Cloud environment while influencing enterprise-wide process improvement and transformation initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead governance and oversight of Kinetic's Oracle ERP and EPM platforms.
  • Act as the functional design authority for finance systems, processes and configuration changes.
  • Own and prioritise the finance systems improvement and enhancement roadmap.
  • Govern Oracle quarterly releases, feature adoption and system change activities.
  • Drive process standardisation and continuous improvement across the finance function.
  • Oversee finance system security, access controls and governance frameworks.
  • Manage key vendor and partner relationships, including Oracle and systems integrators.
  • Lead integration governance across Oracle and connected business platforms.
  • Champion user adoption, capability uplift and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Build and develop a high-performing Finance Systems & Process team.

What You Will Need

  • Extensive experience in finance systems, ERP governance or finance operations leadership roles.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Fusion ERP and/or Oracle EPM in a leadership, governance, or functional authority capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading post-implementation optimisation, continuous improvement and value realisation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes, controls, governance and operating models.
  • Experience governing system change, release management, enhancement prioritisation and vendor relationships.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Technology and Operations.
  • Experience managing process standardisation, business change and organisational adoption within complex environments.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business requirements, risk and technology outcomes.

About Kinetic

Established over 45 years ago, Kinetic has grown to become the largest bus operator in Australia and New Zealand, and a global, multi-modal transport network with operations that span across the UK, Europe and Singapore.

We began in 1978 with Melbourne’s Skybus – a cost efficient, reliable airport transfer service. Today, we manage a global network of bus and rail services, with a team of 36,000 dedicated people and 11,000 buses seamlessly moving over 100 million passengers every year.

We’re the trusted operator of urban, regional, school and charter bus services across Australia and New Zealand. We operate 40 per cent of buses in Queensland, a third of Melbourne’s bus network, and almost half of bus services in Tasmania. In NZ, we’re proud to partner with councils in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga.

Our expertise spans continents, operating in five countries across Europe. In the UK, we run the Go Ahead network – alongside joint venture partner Globalvia – which includes the Govia Thameslink rail link, the largest and most complex rail system in the country.

We believe in improving the communities in which we live and operate, and making a positive impact on people’s lives.

We’re removing the diesel buses that emit millions of tons of greenhouse gases every year. We’re putting women up front. And we believe in LGBTQI+ inclusion and the freedom to be your true self.

Governments, airports, businesses, schools and councils count on us every day. You too, can count on Kinetic.
