Job Description

MUFG Investor Services (Ireland) Limited is seeking an experienced finance executive to join the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team as Head of Finance (PCF-11) and Executive Director (PCF-1) of a newly established Investment Firm. The successful candidate will be designated a CF1 under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime, subject to regulatory approval.

This is a unique opportunity to combine Board-level leadership with responsibility for financial management, prudential oversight, capital management and regulatory reporting within a regulated MiFID investment firm.

As a member of the Board and Executive Management Team, you will play a key role in shaping the firm's strategy, governance framework and long-term growth while ensuring continued financial resilience and compliance with regulatory obligations. You will also act as a key liaison on financial and outsourcing matters between the Investment Firm and the wider MUFG Group.

Executive Director (PCF-1)

As a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance and long-term success of the Investment Firm.

Board, Governance & Leadership

• Serve as a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee (ARCC).
• Support the maintenance of an effective governance and control framework aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, sound conduct and effective decision-making.
• Participate in key management forums, governance committees and escalation processes.

Strategy, Business Performance & Client Outcomes

• Contribute to the development and execution of the firm's strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Monitor performance against business and financial targets.
• Provide oversight and challenge regarding financial performance, capital, liquidity and risk matters.
• Support initiatives that enhance client outcomes and drive sustainable business growth.

Risk, Resilience & Operational Oversight

• Support the Board in maintaining a safe, sound and financially resilient organisation.
• Oversee the operational resilience framework, including business continuity arrangements.
• Contribute to the oversight of outsourcing, technology and strategic change initiatives.

Regulatory Oversight & Stakeholder Management

• Support relationships with regulatory authorities and key external stakeholders.
• Provide oversight of governance, assurance and internal control frameworks.
• Work closely with fellow Directors and senior stakeholders to ensure effective execution of strategic and regulatory priorities.

Head of Finance (PCF-11)

As Head of Finance, you will lead the Finance Function and maintain robust financial, capital and prudential frameworks for the Investment Firm.

Finance Leadership & Financial Management

• Lead the Finance Function and maintain effective financial governance, controls and risk management arrangements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, cost management and financial planning activities.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure responsibilities are discharged in line with the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF), SEAR and applicable regulatory requirements.

Financial, Prudential & Regulatory Reporting

• Lead the preparation and submission of all financial, prudential and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee management accounts, statutory financial statements and regulatory returns.
• Ensure accurate financial records and effective oversight of outsourced finance activities.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, tax advisers and Group Finance stakeholders.

Capital, Liquidity & Prudential Risk

• Maintain oversight of capital adequacy, liquidity management and prudential risk frameworks.
• Monitor compliance with Own Funds requirements, regulatory obligations and internal risk appetite measures.
• Lead ICAAP, stress testing, recovery planning and maintenance of the Wind-Down Plan.
• Fulfil responsibilities relating to financial risks arising from climate change.

Board & Strategic Responsibilities

• Report regularly to the Board and ARCC on financial performance, capital, liquidity and key financial risks.
• Advise the Board and Executive Management Team on financial, prudential and strategic matters.
• Collaborate closely with Group stakeholders, banking partners and service providers to support the firm's objectives and future growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a senior finance role / director of finance role.
• Extensive experience at a MiFID investment firm in a regulatory finance role.
• Experience working as a senior professional in the financial services industry, preferably as a PCF 1 and PCF 11 in an investment firm.
• Previous approval for a PCF-11 with the Central Bank of Ireland or another EU regulator.
• A history of maintaining the appropriate Fitness and Probity Standards as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Experience with tax compliance matters.
• A proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders across the business and the group.
• Experience with IFRS 102 or IFRS in general.
• Professional qualifications:
• Holding a fully recognised accounting qualification e.g. CA/ACCA/CPA or similar;
• Investment firm knowledge - Professional Certificate in Stockbroking.
