These are critical assets underpinning the North American transport network with stable demand and highly contracted cashflows, however from time-to-time decisions will be required on asset sales, treasury, liquidity, and operating matters that will require support from the Head of Finance along with Brookfield Investment and Portfolio Management teams. Additionally, the business is uniquely positioned and not easily replicated given the time and investment required to match their scale, along with best-in-class strategic partner.
The Head of Finance will be based in Toronto and will be accountable for all elements of the finance function supporting Brookfield’s interest in the Joint Venture, and our wholly-owned fleet. There may also be travel required to our strategic partner’s office in Chicago a few times a year. In the role, you will work closely with our JV partner, Brookfield’s investments and portfolio management teams, and accounting and tax service providers to build and optimize the finance function and drive value creation within this investment.
Working closely with service providers, the Head of Finance has direct responsibility for all elements of the finance function including financial reporting, forecasting, debt compliance, treasury and liquidity management, platform-level analysis and ad hoc finance deliverables.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to gain direct exposure to a growing infrastructure platform, with responsibility across the core finance activities of an investment operating company.
