The Head of Finance will oversees financial control and governance for the Shanghai office. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity of financial operations and reporting while working closely with the US headquarters to maintain compliance and implement best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations for the Shanghai office, ensuring compliance with internal control standards and financial regulations.
  
• Develop and implement strong financial control frameworks to protect the organizations assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
• Collaborate with the US headquarters to prepare and deliver timely financial reports that align with group policies and practices.
  
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies or variances in reporting, proactively addressing issues before escalation.
  
• Implement best practices in financial management and reporting across local operations to enhance efficiency.
  
• Ensure effective user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementation of financial ERP systems to streamline processes.
  
• Foster a culture of accountability and adherence to internal controls throughout the organization.
  
• Work closely with the Group CFO and HQ finance department to improve inter-group processes, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the CFO or HQ finance department.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  
• CICPA qualification or any relevant is a MUST.
  
• At least 15-20 years of proven experience in financial control, monitoring daily financial operations, and with the expertise in delivering excellent financial reports to HQ, preferably in the energy or technology sectors.
  
• Sound knowledge in China GAAP and US GAAP
• Big4 background is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
  
• Excellent people management & Stakeholder management skills, able to lead a team of 7-9 for daily financial operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English
  
• Familiarity with Kingdee accounting system and internal control frameworks.
  
• Candidate with less experience would also be considered for VP Controller position
