We are now looking for a Head of Finance (Divisional Finance Director) tojoin our team, to provide strategic insight, commercial challenge and leadership across a complex and evolving business

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We’re looking for a high-impact finance leader to partner directly with senior executives at the heart of a FTSE 100 business. This is a visible, relationship-led role where your ability to influence, challenge and shape decisions at the most senior level will matter far more than the industry you’ve worked in.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll act as a trusted finance partner to a senior executive and their leadership team- working side-by-side to drive performance, shape strategy and deliver better outcomes for the business.


You’ll:

  • Partner closely with senior executives and their SMT, providing insight, challenge and support on key decisions
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting and performance insight for a large, complex area of the business
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-financial leaders
  • Influence investment decisions, priorities and trade-offs at senior leadership level
  • Provide visibility and narrative into performance for the CFO, Executive Committee and Board
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team

This is a role with real presence- you’ll spend the majority of your time working directly with senior stakeholders, helping them navigate complexity and deliver results.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


We’re taking an open approach to sector background. What matters most is your style, impact and experience operating at pace in a complex organisation


You’ll likely bring:


  • Strong finance business partnering experience at senior/Executive level
  • Experience working closely with an Executive, CEO or equivalent senior leader
  • A track record of influencing and challenging at ExCo or Board level
  • Experience in a large, complex organisation where stakeholder management is critical
  • The ability to operate with confidence, credibility and pace in a highly visible role
  • Strong communication skills – able to simplify complexity and land messages clearly


Not essential:


  • Experience in utilities or asset-heavy industries
  • Direct capital programme experience
