ContiTrade is the strategic retail arm of the Continental Tire business in Europe. Its business purpose is to facilitate access to the respective markets & leverage Trade opportunities in Europe, the Middle East & Africa (EMEA). The scope of the ContiTrade business ranges from selling tires to complete fleet management via tires, tire services, and vehicle services, through approximately 530 equity stores and 5,000 franchise and service partners. The business scope includes sales to end consumers, business and fleet customers, wholesale and as a service partner to Continental, as well as other major tire brands. This is done physically in branches and on the road, as well as through e-commerce platforms.

We are looking for a Head of Finance & Controlling to lead and further develop finance, accounting, controlling and risk management for a nationwide retail organization with strong growth ambitions.

In this role, you are a trusted financial advisor to senior management and the Board, and a key contributor to strategic and operational decision-making as part og the management team.

Key responsibilities

As Head of Finance & Controlling, you will:

  • Take overall responsibility for finance, accounting, controlling, cash and risk management
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and high-quality monthly reporting
  • Drive profit-oriented business steering through strong analysis, KPIs and insights
  • Ensure compliance with legal, statutory and group requirements
  • Lead and develop a finance organization with direct leadership responsibility
  • Support strategic initiatives such as integration, M&A activities and network development
  • Act as a key sparring partner to the Managing Director and part of management team

Qualifications

  • University degree in business management (or a Masters in Economics) or equivalent qualification.
  • 6+ years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling function, preferably in a retail organization or similar
  • Strong business understanding
  • Proven leadership experience with a good knowhow to build an effective team, build accountability and drive performance.
  • Experience with budgeting, reporting, cash management and internal controls.
  • Experience in leading strategic projects (M&A or Integration) and working in multinational environment is considered as an advantage
  • Fluent English in an international matrix environment; Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is a strong advantage.
