We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance to lead the financial strategy and operations for a fast-growing consumer/consumer-tech business. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years of experience, currently working as a Head of Finance or Financial Controller within a high-growth startup environment. The candidate will play a critical role in driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making at the leadership level.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance function, including accounting, taxation, financial planning, and reporting. You will ensure the integrity of financial information, maintain robust internal controls, and drive process improvements to support business scalability.

You will lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards. Managing audits—both internal and external—will be a key part of your role, along with ensuring readiness for due diligence in case of fundraising or strategic transactions.

On the taxation front, you will oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, income tax filings, and regulatory reporting. You will work closely with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies while ensuring full compliance with evolving regulations.

You will partner with business leaders to drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Providing actionable insights through MIS reporting and financial analysis will be essential to support data-driven decision-making. You will also play a strategic role in identifying cost optimization opportunities and improving overall financial efficiency.

Additionally, you will build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years of relevant experience
• Currently working as Head of Finance or Financial Controller in a consumer or consumer-tech startup
• Strong expertise in Accounting and Taxation
• Proven experience in managing audits, financial reporting, and compliance
• Hands-on experience with GST, direct taxes, and regulatory frameworks in India
• Strong understanding of financial systems, controls, and process automation
• Experience in fundraising, investor reporting, or working with VC-backed startups is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
