Job Description

Head of Finance | DR Congo (Relocation)

Talent Tides is hiring a Head of Finance for a multinational group with industrial operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will relocate to DR Congo, lead the entire finance function for the local operations, and report to group leadership.

What you will do

  • Lead the finance, accounting, and treasury functions for the DR Congo operations
  • Set the annual budget and business plan with management, and track performance against it
  • Deliver monthly and annual financial statements to group standards
  • Control production costs, inventory, and capital spending for the plant and operations
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements
  • Keep the company compliant with DR Congo tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
  • Build and manage the local finance team
  • Advise senior management on pricing, cost reduction, and investment decisions

What you need

  • 12 to 15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years leading a finance function
  • Background in manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry (strongly preferred)
  • Strong experience in cost control, treasury, and financial planning
  • CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification preferred
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Experience working in Africa or other emerging markets is an advantage
  • Willing to relocate to DR Congo and able to join immediately or on short notice
  • French language skills are an advantage
