About Finance at THG

THG’s Finance department is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of central functions such as Accounts Receivable and Payable, Treasury, Tax and Group Finance, to specific Commercial teams for each of THG’s divisions.

With the company’s global presence increasing at an unprecedented rate, the Finance team continues to drive change while remaining agile; keeping pace with the business while never compromising on financial control or sales performance.

About the Role

The Head of Finance for Beauty Brands is a high-impact finance leadership role, owning the financial performance of our Beauty Brands portfolio. You’ll partner closely with brand leadership to drive growth, profitability and cash performance, providing the insight and challenge behind key commercial and strategic decisions.

As the Head of Finance for Beauty Brands you will:

• Own and lead the financial performance of the Beauty Brands portfolio, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to the Brands leadership team, providing clear insight, challenge and recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, ensuring plans are commercially robust and aligned to business strategy.
• Drive understanding of key performance drivers including revenue, gross margin, price, volume, mix, channel, product and operating costs.
• Lead monthly financial reporting and performance reviews, providing clear analysis of actuals versus budget, forecast and prior year.
• Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations to improve profitability, inventory and cash generation.
• Provide financial modelling and business cases to support new product launches, investment decisions, market expansion and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and appropriate accounting across the brands.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and work with stakeholders to deliver appropriate actions.
• Lead, develop and coach the Brands Finance team, building a high-performing and commercially focused function.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, reporting and data.

What skills and experience do I need for this role?

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience in a senior commercial finance or business partnering role.
• Experience within beauty, FMCG, consumer, retail or another branded environment preferred.
• Strong P&L, forecasting, financial modelling and commercial analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of gross margin, inventory and working capital.
• Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
