Job Description

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership, providing financial stewardship, governance, and analytical insights to support organisational objectives. The role leads financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, audit management, and internal controls, while driving process improvements and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen operational efficiency and financial sustainability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance to accounting standards and company policies.
• Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits, ensuring issues are promptly addressed.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with regulatory and statutory requirements, including preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory filings in a timely manner.
• Prepare reporting materials for senior management, Board, Audit Committee and relevant stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain financial governance frameworks (including accounting policies and procedures), internal controls, delegated authority compliance and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and ensure accountability.
• Collaborate with operational teams to prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts. Monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to align with financial goals.
• Lead treasury and cash management activities, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt facilities, equity funding requirements, grant funding management to support business and project requirements.
• Partner with operational teams and external tax advisors on project structuring and tax matters, ensuring tax considerations are evaluated.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team (including management of out-source service provider), fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional excellence.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements including implementation or automation for Finance systems and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Spearhead special and / or cross functional projects.

The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or a relevant professional qualification (CA/CPA/CFA).
• At least twelve years of relevant working experience and proven track record in Financial Planning and Analysis role, with a mix of audit and MNC background.
• Strong team management capabilities with minimum three years of experience in managerial role handling team(s).
• Demonstrated success in business partnering and influencing decision-making at the executive leadership level.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on team player and leader with positive mindset
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills to engage stakeholders of different levels
