Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of finance and accounting operations to achieve company and group level targets
  • Responsible for the accuracy and validity of forecasting, planning, and reporting of defined financial reports for stakeholders on agreed timelines

Business Steering

  • Provide leadership in the development of short and long term strategic financial objectives, including a roadmap for the achievement of financial targets as set in Annual Business Plan
  • Perform risk assessment and provide short- and long-term mitigation plans
  • Support and help implement new business plans such as expansion of activities, addition of new processes, etc.
  • Critically evaluate and provide feedback for companywide initiatives to encourage growth and improvement in processes
  • Ensure sufficient assistance is provided to Rolls Royce on the feasibility of new projects
  • Responsible for drafting, implementing, and updating local financial policies and processes aligned to corporate guidelines and local best practices on a timely and periodical basis
  • Ensure internal controls in various processes and to help plug the weaknesses leading to leakage of revenue, misuse of assets of the company, wastages of resources of the company etc.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of financial competence and have an independent opinion on financial matters of the company

Taxation (Direct and Indirect)

  • Conduct tax planning and ensure compliance to direct taxes, indirect taxes, tax payments, withholding taxes, assessments, and appeals, etc. rules and regulations
  • Validate and verify tax submissions and ensure strict compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and applicable regulatory laws and regulations for financial and tax reporting ensuring closure of statutory audit
  • Liaise with tax consultants and parent company to ensure smooth business operations

Treasury and Banking

  • Manage fund flows, working capital, credit management, term loans, Forex matters and ensure transactional KPIs (AR, AP, etc.) are maintained
  • Operational knowledge of hedging, cash pooling, and other treasury processes

Other Tasks

  • Manage financial aspects of projects, project accounting and controlling, support project team to achieve best financial outcomes.
  • Support the finance function in the region and act as bridge between HQ and the region
  • Set KPIs, assess and provide guidance to Management for achieving organizational goals
  • Develop human capital: recruit, train and motivate team members to be strong contributors to the local and global Finance department
  • Lead high quality bookkeeping and train them with latest accounting requirements to ensure a clean audit report
  • Ensure compliance to Group and local guidelines, processes, and policies by the Finance team members.
  • Participate and be the change-agent for key business priorities (e.g. finance digital transformation, outsourcing, cost containment projects etc.)
