Job Description

The Role

As a key member of the regional leadership team, the Head of Finance will report to the Finance Director – Middle East and the Head of Savills Egypt. The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of corporate finance activities in Egypt, ensuring the commercial and governance health of the business at all times. This includes driving efficiencies across systems to maximise profitability, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting at both local and Group levels, ensuring robust internal controls, and full compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. The role will also provide strategic and analytical support to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the accounting and financial management functions for Savills Egypt, ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with local regulations.

  • Support the Egypt leadership team in developing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the strategic direction set by senior management.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support commercial decision-making and long-term planning.

  • Partner with local business leaders and stakeholders to deliver financial objectives and ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to regional leadership.

  • Work closely with HR on payroll and the Remuneration Committee (RemCo) process in coordination with the central team.

  • Oversee financial reporting (monthly, half-year, and full-year), ensuring adherence to Group timelines and requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with Group policies, local tax laws, and governance requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation within finance systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.

  • Monitor cash flow and treasury activities, ensuring effective liquidity management.

  • Support the establishment of new business ventures, ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and financial requirements.

  • Liaise with Group Legal and Risk teams on local agreements and ensure adherence to risk management frameworks.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of all tax filings to Egyptian authorities.

  • Provide technical finance support to operational teams, including direct and indirect tax matters.

  • Support internal and external audit processes and implement improvements arising from audit findings.

  • Contribute to the ESG agenda, ensuring alignment with governance and sustainability objectives.

  • Oversee the Risk & Compliance function, maintaining the corporate risk register in line with regulatory standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting discipline.

  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) is mandatory.

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a corporate finance role within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • At least 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role within a multinational organisation.

  • Experience in professional services or the real estate sector is preferred.

  • Arabic language proficiency is essential.

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, with high attention to detail.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively under pressure.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite environments.

  • Strong financial planning and reporting experience, with deep knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow modelling.

  • Solid understanding of accrual accounting principles.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of developing and managing teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Professional, articulate, and diplomatic, with a high level of discretion.

  • Proven track record of strong business partnering.
