Salary is £36,000 per annum

Full Time – 37.5 Hours

Priory Hospital Nelson House has an opportunity for a Head of Facilities to join our team.

Priory Hospital Nelson House, Gosport, Hampshire is a rehabilitation service offering level 1 and level 2 care for males with mental health conditions and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge and substance misuse issues. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Rowner Road and Portsmouth Harbour railway station approximately 3–4 miles from the service.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team that is committed to supporting people's wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hospital, including Estates and Facilities. You will directly line manage the Housekeeping, Administration, Medical Secretaries, Maintenance, Reception and Catering teams, while playing an active role as a member of the Hospital Senior Management Team.

You will be expected to provide cover and support to the wider team and site as and when needed.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience of direct line management, ideally at a senior management level.
  • Experience working within Healthcare or Hospitality in a similar operational role.
  • Strong project management experience with relevant qualification.
  • Experience of budget management and financial responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, with an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving ambiguity and change.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and solutions-focused approach.
