About Us

We’re all here to deliver great retirement outcomes for our members. We have a long history with the University sector and today we’re a place where future‑minded Australians can all come together. We have a track record of success and a culture focussed on being the best place to work in superannuation. We’ll achieve this by bringing our values to life in everything we do - genuine care, being better together and a passion for outcomes.

The UniSuper Advice Business Unit operates as a Centre of Excellence, integrating all channels of advice; education and guidance, digital, professional wealth management, and external adviser partnerships within a single system. This leadership team provides strategic, operational, and governance capability to deliver high‑quality, professional advice and guidance that strengthens member outcomes, ensures compliance with AFSL and Trustee obligations, and positions the fund as a market leader.

This is a rare opportunity to shape UniSuper’s external advice ecosystem and influence retirement outcomes for members at scale.

The role

Reporting to the Chief Advice Officer, you will lead UniSuper’s external adviser partnerships to drive growth, strengthen adviser experience and ensure alignment with Trustee and regulatory obligations. You will set the strategic direction for the independent financial adviser channel, positioning UniSuper as a digitally connected, advice‑enabled partner of choice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting and driving the strategic vision for external adviser partnerships aligned to enterprise strategy and risk appetite
  • Building senior‑level relationships with licensees, dealer groups and advisers to grow inflows and market presence
  • Embedding UniSuper within the IFA technology ecosystem to support efficient, compliant adviser servicing
  • Owning the end‑to‑end external adviser servicing model and continuous improvement
  • Providing strategic insight to Executive and Board on adviser ecosystem trends
  • Leading and developing a high‑performing team and influencing outcomes across the enterprise

About you

You are a strategic, commercially astute leader with strong industry credibility and a growth mindset. You bring deep experience across adviser partnerships and the ability to balance commercial outcomes with quality, compliance and member equity.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience in financial services distribution, adviser partnerships or business development
  • Proven success growing inflows and market share through adviser channels
  • Strong understanding of the independent financial adviser market and business models
  • Experience working with adviser technology ecosystems in a regulated environment
  • Demonstrated people leadership and senior stakeholder management capability
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, finance or a related field

What We Offer

UniSuper believes that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate. Therefore, we ask you to be able to commit to 60% of your time in office. UniSuper is proud of our culture and benefits, which empower our people to achieve their full potential, thrive, and grow their career with us. These include:

  • Competitive remuneration and incentive framework
  • Industry‑leading superannuation
  • Flexible work and wellbeing benefits
  • Career development and leadership opportunities
