Job Description

Our partner boasts some of the most stunning restaurants in Hong Kong, including a majestic space steeped in rich history and showcasing the finest cuisines complemented by sophisticated service and warm hospitality. 
We are now seeking an Events Director to drive and lead the events sales for this extraordinary property. 
The Events Director will:
  • Proactively source sales opportunities;
  • Build and develop meaningful relationships with target clients;
  • Maintain the events schedule;
  • Promptly and effectively respond to guest inquiries;
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for new sales leads;
  • Conduct venue tours and site inspections to promote the venue;
  • Work closely with the FOH & BOH teams to build custom private dining offerings to suit guest needs;
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing, 
  • Direct and ensure proper set-up of events, including equipment, furniture, linens, tablewares, etc.;
  • Communicate closely and effectively with service and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution of events;
  • Gather and communicate guest feedback, address any issues or grievances, whilst ensuring future return business;
  • Maintain sales targets and report on progress;
  • Exude a warm, positive spirit that reflects the hospitality offered;
  • Cultivate a collaborative and productive environment with teammates;
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement and strive for team success. 
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of events sales experience in high-calibre fine dining restaurants/ luxury hotels;
  • Extensive knowledge of food & beverage, guest relations, and service standards;
  • Ability and awareness to identify and address guest needs;
  • The confidence and savvy to effectively and graciously negotiate pricing; 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a high level of articulation and eloquence; 
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills, with a natural charisma and magnetism, 
  • Ability to work independently with a self-starter disposition, as well as working collaboratively across teams; 
  • Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin;
  • A desire to continuously learn and improve oneself whilst sharing knowledge with others,
  • A passion for food and hospitality!
