Lead and manage the Equipment & Dispatch Services team and infrastructure, in accordance with company standards, programs, policies and procedures to ensure effective customer and vendor business relationships to realize United’s Strategic Plan within a 24/7 environment.
Equipment Services
Lead and manage a virtual and mobile Equipment Services Team (both internal and third parties) nationally in a 24/7 environment to remain competitive and cost-effective.
• Optimization of Equipment maintenance & reliability, ensuring minimum downtime at store or site locations
• Strategize business models to create an effective service model nationally.
• Plan, direct, and operationalize annual plans and budgets, including planning and operationalization of a multi-year Capex budget.
• Participate and execute in strategic projects.
• Provide leadership with respect to environmental, health & safety procedures as required by internal/external parties.
Lead manage and maintain vendor & third-party relationships, negotiations, contractual obligations
Responsible for all approvals related to purchases, invoices and PO’s
• Lead and manage departmental processes, policies and procedures with key performance indicators (KPI’s)
▪ Prepare, manage and control departmental budgets
• Providing strategic analysis and trends to the company with respect to cost-saving opportunities.
• Responsible for monthly and annual reporting of P&L and activities within the department
• Work across the organization in a collaborative manner to help ensure that the company achieves its corporate performance targets
Team Performance Management, Recruitment, Termination, Learning & Development:
▪ Overall, manage and lead the performance of the Equipment Services & Dispatch Services team nationally
▪ Responsible for recruitment and termination, team performance, career development and learning and development opportunities for team
▪ Responsible for team compliancy for policies, health & safety requirements, safe operating procedures, both for United and customer requirements
▪ Ensure safety compliance with respect to SDS & WHMIS compliance, provincial safety posters, provincial occupational health and safety act, proper protective equipment, and overall safety compliance
▪ Conduct regular team meetings to address common issues
▪ Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and capability

Technology & Assets: Responsible for managing business using United technologies provided (Salesforce/Outlook). Responsible for equipment asset management. Responsible for ensuring data integrity within service requests.
Job Requirements/Expectations
▪ Be available to address internal and partner (sub-contractors) needs and concerns in a timely manner.
▪ Be willing to travel frequently within Canada (as may be required from time to time).
▪ Ability to deal with a high level of stress and promptly solve problems as they arise.
▪ Ability to work flexible shifts on a rotational basis.
