The Technology & Delivery team ensures the sustained health and maintenance of UniSuper’s core systems and platforms and partners with the business to plan and deliver technology change that supports scale, simplification and execution of UniSuper’s strategy.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape how change is planned, governed and delivered across UniSuper, enabling better decisions, stronger execution and meaningful outcomes for our members.

The role

The key focus of this role is enabling successful portfolio execution across Technology & Delivery through clear governance, insight and delivery support. You will provide portfolio‑level visibility, decision support and operating rhythm while continuously improving how UniSuper plans, funds and governs change. You will lead the evolution from a traditional PMO to a modern, enabling and outcome‑focused enterprise portfolio function.

You will be accountable for:

• Shaping and leading the enterprise portfolio operating model to support effective planning, funding and delivery of change
• Providing portfolio‑level oversight, insights and assurance across programs and projects, including risks, dependencies, progress and benefits
• Leading and developing a high‑performing team that enables delivery excellence across Technology & Delivery
• Establishing and overseeing fit‑for‑purpose governance that balances regulatory, financial and risk obligations with pace and agility
• Partnering closely with the Chief Technology Officer and senior leaders to support decision making, prioritisation and execution
• Overseeing portfolio financials, forecasting and benefit tracking to ensure alignment to strategic priorities

About you

You are a modern enterprise portfolio leader who brings strong experience in traditional program management and enjoys reshaping those practices into contemporary delivery models. You are comfortable operating at a portfolio and enterprise level, influencing senior leaders and creating clarity in complex environments. You value outcomes, transparency and continuous improvement and take pride in enabling others to deliver their best work.

You bring:

• Proven experience leading an enterprise portfolio or Project Management Office in a complex organisation
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability, with the ability to coach and influence at senior levels
• Experience enabling modern delivery practices, governance and portfolio planning cadences
• Sound financial and commercial acumen, including oversight of budgets and forecasting
• Strong communication, analytical and systems thinking skills
• A result focused, accountable and outcome driven mindset
