Key purpose of the role:

To lead and uplift the enterprise wide Organisation Change Management (OCM) capability that enables effective, sustainable change across ASX. The role will establish and embed the enterprise OCM approach, lead and develop a specialist OCM team, and operate as a trusted advisor and enablement function that supports delivery teams, strengthens adoption and embeds change in ways that deliver lasting business value.

Your Team:

The Enterprise Customer & Operations team (EC&O) enables ASX to run better. This is through improving customer experiences and interactions, delivering simplified processes and services, integrated delivery planning and capability, and driving consistency of standards.

The Enterprise Enablement team within EC&O is responsible for providing enterprise capabilities and frameworks, that enable and govern change, transformation, delivery, strategy execution, customer products, data management, process mapping, adoption of AI and oversight of the Group Services Agreement.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish, embed and then continue to evolve a standardised enterprise OCM approach, aligned to ASX strategy, ASX Delivery Framework, Risk Appetite Statement and operating model.

  • Lead and develop the enterprise OCM team, including the ECO OCM Lead and the Enterprise OCM Approach & Capability Lead, setting clear direction, prioritisation and accountability.

  • Undertake Enterprise-wide change impact assessments to drive prioritisation of the change load and drive effective embedment

  • Build and operate an Enterprise OCM Centre of Excellence, providing standards, guidance, tools, learning solutions and advisory support.

  • Assist in managing Change Risk including transparency of customer and enterprise change impacts

  • Support Enterprise Customer & Operations (ECO) by enabling effective change management delivery across initiatives and portfolios.

  • Provide visibility of enterprise and customer change for management and Board committees. Determine measures for the effectiveness of change capability building

  • Empower and enable OCM practitioners, removing roadblocks, resolving conflicts and supporting delivery effectiveness.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and delivery teams on change impacts, readiness, adoption risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Build and sustain strong enterprise relationships, enabling early engagement and effective change outcomes.

  • Establish and nurture an enterprise OCM community of practice, promoting consistency, capability uplift and shared learning.

  • Provide guidance and challenge to ensure change approaches are fit for purpose, proportionate and outcome focused.

  • Partner with Enterprise Enablement peers to break down silos and ensure OCM is joined up with strategy, delivery, process, data and technology initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement in enterprise change maturity, using insights, lessons learned and feedback from outcomes.

  • Ensure appropriate governance and oversight of enterprise OCM practices without becoming a delivery or approval bottleneck.

  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality Executive and Board‑level reporting, including strategy execution performance, dependency impacts, portfolio insights, risks and regulatory considerations.

  • Contribute to a collaborative Enterprise Enablement culture by role‑modelling ASX values and actively breaking down silos.

  • Work across teams and divisions to share knowledge, resolve issues and improve end‑to‑end enterprise outcomes.

  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence and the ability to coach, develop and support others.

  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and changing environments, managing competing priorities and trade‑offs.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and build a deep understanding of the role’s function and the broader ASX context.

  • Lead with a pragmatic, delivery‑focused and risk‑informed style, balancing pace with proportionate governance and risk management.

  • Actively participate in the Enterprise Enablement leadership team, aligning priorities and supporting cohesive ways of working.

  • Support the GM Enterprise Enablement through strategic counsel, issue resolution and delivery of agreed enterprise priorities.

  • Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor, influencing senior leaders without formal authority.

  • Present insights and recommendations at Executive and Board‑level forums, as required.

  • Undertake other activities reasonably required to support the effective operation of the Enterprise Enablement function.

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • Tertiary qualification in business, change management, organisational psychology, management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Senior experience leading or shaping enterprise wide change management or transformation enablement functions.

  • Demonstrated experience establishing standardised change approaches across complex organisations.

  • Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor, influencing senior leaders without formal authority.

  • Experience supporting large scale delivery or transformation initiatives, without owning delivery directly.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building and influencing capability.

  • Experience building and leading communities of practice or centres of excellence including capability uplift and learning design.

  • Exposure to operating in complex or regulated environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to break down silos and enable collaboration across organisational boundaries.

Nice to have

  • Experience in financial services, market infrastructure or similarly complex environments.

  • Exposure to enterprise delivery, portfolio or strategy execution functions.

  • Background in workforce transformation, capability uplift or behavioural change initiatives.

  • Change management certification (e.g. Prosci, APMG, or similar).

  • Experience with Atlassian and Microsoft tools; Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint and PowerPoint
