Position: Head of Emergency Medicine

Location: Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, Iraq

Contract Details: Full time, permanent

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Emergency Medicine for a reputed client in IRAQ, who is dedicated to providing high-quality medical services to the local community.

As the Head of Emergency Medicine, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our emergency department and ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective emergency care to our patients. You will work closely with a team of dedicated medical professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment to patients in need of urgent medical attention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the emergency department staff, including physicians, nurses, and support staff.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the emergency department.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of emergency care provided, making necessary changes and improvements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with other departments and medical specialties to provide coordinated care to patients.
• Manage the department budget and resources effectively.
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of emergency department staff.
• Act as a liaison between the emergency department and other departments within the organization.
• Handle any emergencies or critical situations that may arise in the department.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in emergency medicine, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong understanding of emergency medical procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
