As Head of Electrical Architecture, you will lead a team working across Electrical Architecture, Signal Database, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, Diagnostics and Base Technologies.

The team plays a fundamental role in shaping the future electrical and electronic architecture of Geely's products. By providing expertise in architecture, safety and cybersecurity, the team helps ensure that future vehicle platforms are scalable, secure, compliant and aligned with both business and technical objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing both people and capabilities while driving the long-term direction of Electrical Architecture within Geely Technology Europe. You will work closely with decision-makers across the Geely organization and collaborate extensively with counterparts and engineering teams in China. The role includes regular international travel, primarily to China, approximately 6-8 times per year.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of technology, strategy and organizational influence. You will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of Electrical Architecture, strengthen the European contribution within Geely and help build a high-performing organization positioned for long-term growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach and develop a team of engineers across Electrical Architecture, Signal Database, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, Diagnostics and Base Technology.
• Drive the strategic development of Electrical Architecture capabilities within Geely Technology Europe.
• Build and maintain a high-performing organization with strong engagement, collaboration and accountability.
• Act as a trusted technical and organizational leader when collaborating with internal stakeholders and engineering teams in China.
• Represent the Electrical Architecture organization in technical discussions, strategic initiatives and decision-making forums.
• Drive competence development, succession planning and long-term capability growth.
• Support recruitment, retention and organizational expansion activities as the organization continues to evolve.
• Contribute to strengthening the European influence within future vehicle architecture development.

After your first 6-12 months in the role, you have:

• Established yourself as a trusted leader and key representative for Electrical Architecture within the broader Geely organization.
• Strengthened collaboration and credibility with stakeholders in China while maintaining a strong European voice.
• Built a motivated and high-performing team with strong engagement and retention.
• Increased the team's influence and contribution in strategic architecture-related initiatives.
• Secured critical competencies and created a clear direction for future capability growth.
• Supported the successful expansion of the organization's responsibilities and scope within Geely.

Who You Are

You are an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in Electrical Architecture and a passion for developing people and organizations.

You combine deep technical understanding with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence decisions across organizational and geographical boundaries. You are comfortable operating in dynamic environments where collaboration, long-term thinking and resilience are key to success.

You bring a coaching leadership style while also having the confidence and credibility required to engage in strategic discussions and represent your organization at senior levels.

You thrive in an international environment where priorities may evolve quickly and where building alignment across cultures requires persistence, resilience and strong stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Previous people leadership experience within engineering organizations.
• At least 15 years of experience within Electrical Architecture development in the automotive industry.
• Strong expertise within Electrical/Electronic Architecture and vehicle system design.
• Good knowledge of Functional Safety and Cyber Security principles and their application within vehicle development.
• Strong engineering background with the ability to discuss and challenge complex technical topics.
• Experience from an OEM and/or Tier 1 supplier environment.
• Experience working in international and cross-functional organizations.
• Experience leading larger technical organizations, technical leaders and/or senior specialists is considered highly meritorious.
• Project leadership experience is considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience collaborating with engineering organizations in China is considered meritorious.
