Division Description

Manages the composition and maturity structure of assets and liabilities to ensure sustainability and resilience across interest rate cycles. Identifies, measures, monitors, and mitigates interest rate risks using modelling, sensitivity analysis, and hedging strategies. Optimizes Net Interest Income (NII) and Economic Value of Equity (EVE) through strategic balance sheet steering. Ensures the bank has sufficient liquidity to meet all obligations under normal and stressed conditions, in line with regulatory requirements (LCR, NSFR) and internal risk appetite. Manage the strategic portfolio of banking book investments, mainly fixed income instruments. Ensures the issuance of bonds and capital instruments with the aim of stable long-term financing for the bank and for the clients (including state, corporate clients). Manages the securities collateral and cover pool for covered bonds (mortgage portfolio) also ensuring compliance with Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) standards. Ensure the Minimum Requirement for Own Funds and Eligible Liabilities (MREL) management including resolution planning with the aim to meet all regulatory requirements. Designs and maintains the internal funds transfer pricing (FTP) framework to ensure fair performance measurement and cost allocation across business units. Provides analysis, recommendations, and reporting for Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) decisions.

Your Tasks

The role represents a key leadership positionwith direct impact on the bank’s financial stability, market access, and regulatory standing.

  • supervise compliance with regulatory liquidity requirements (e.g. LCR, NSFR) and internal liquidity risk limits
  • design and execute the bank’s funding strategy, aligned with balance‑sheet needs, market conditions, and regulatory constraints
  • coordinate and execute debt issuance programs (e.g. senior, covered bonds, subordinated instruments where applicable)
  • oversee compliance with regulatory interest rate risk requirements (e.g. NII, EVE, ICAAP, ILAAP) and internal interest rate risk limits
  • create and coordinate the bank’s investment strategy (including primary dealership activities)
  • support and contribute the bank in the budgeting process
  • steering the funds transfer pricing (FTP) methodology
  • MREL & Resolution - ensure the achievement of MREL targets, contribute to resolution readiness
  • act as a key member of ALCO, providing market insights, liquidity updates, funding perspectives and investments & hedging recommendations
  • ensure transparent and timely communication and reporting to regulators, group functions and internal stakeholders including business lines

Your Background

  • university degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
  • deep expertise in liquidity management, funding, and financial markets (including derivatives), combined with a strong understanding of balance sheet dynamics, stress testing, supervision expectation, regulation, risk governance and rating methodologies
  • deep understanding of bank’s P&L, internal funds transfer pricing (FTP), bank products characteristics, regulatory capital framework, credit risk, market risk and liquidity risk
  • minimum 10 years of experience
  • excellent communication skills (external and internal) and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset
  • very strong command of English, both spoken and written
