About the Role

(Role purpose / objective)

This role is responsible for leading the development of digital capabilities within the company’s Marketing and Commercial Operations function. The incumbent will drive digital strategy, capability building, platform adoption, data-driven commercial excellence, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance customer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and commercial execution, while ensuring compliant operations in the pharmaceutical business environment.

How you will contribute:
(Key accountabilities and responsibilities)

Digital Capability Strategy and Planning

  • Develop mid- to long-term digital capability strategies, annual plans, and transformation roadmaps aligned with the company’s marketing and commercial priorities.
  • Identify capability gaps and opportunities across digital marketing, omnichannel engagement, analytics, content enablement, and commercial execution.
  • Define capability objectives, milestones, and success metrics, and ensure effective implementation.

Digital Tools, Platforms, and Enablement

  • Lead the deployment, adoption, and optimization of digital tools and platforms that support marketing and commercial teams.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to enhance platform functionality, usability, and business impact.
  • Ensure digital platforms, workflows, and user support models meet business needs and operational standards.

Capability Building and Training

  • Build digital capability frameworks, learning journeys, and training programs for marketing and commercial teams.
  • Strengthen organizational capabilities in areas such as omnichannel engagement, CRM utilization, digital content activation, campaign effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Coach teams and leaders on digital ways of working and adoption of new capabilities.

Data-driven Commercial Excellence

  • Promote the use of data, analytics, and digital insights to improve customer targeting, engagement effectiveness, and commercial performance.
  • Work with commercial operations, IT, analytics, and business teams to translate digital data into actionable business recommendations.
  • Support the development of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track digital adoption and business impact.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Medical, DD&T, Data & Analytics, Compliance, Legal, and other relevant functions to drive digital initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities, technology solutions, and change management efforts.
  • Coordinate digital transformation initiatives across brands, functions, and field teams.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure digital activities, platforms, and capabilities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations, data privacy requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Establish governance processes for digital tools, content workflows, platform usage, and capability development.
  • Promote a strong compliance mindset and responsible digital practices across the organization.

Skills

  • Strong capabilities in capability building, change management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
