Your tasks

• Manage team under his/her responsibility (Design Engineers / Test Engineer / Project Managers)
• Build and maintain the technical level of expertise with focus on RF & LF connectivity solutions
• Technical support on design reviews, such as NSI reviews with AEs in China, CIP reviews with other departments, etc.
  NSI workload coordination in China, in cooperation with the Customized Products group in Switzerland
• IP watch China for radio frequency connectivity solutions
• Master Data Management (MDM) responsible RF & LF
• Design new RF & LF products according to non-standard inquiries from customers - according to the specified KPI’s (project and manufacturing costs / quality / schedule)
• Coordinate the 1st series order and other samples orders; evaluate the outputs in close collaboration with purchasing group, process engineers and plating shop
• Create documents needed for the manufacturing process (including QA) in our system, data sheets, BOM, outline drawings, piece part drawings... (CATIA, PDM, SAP)
• Apply the design tools according to the innovation process, such as FMEA, control plan, qualification test plan, purchasing specifications, tolerance analysis
• Support R+D Switzerland for global projects and localization of products and piece parts, represent H+S needs at Asian suppliers
• Take over a small test room and lead the daily test workload
• Collaborate with VP and Finance team to fulfill the DE team cost budget

Your profile

• Master’s degree or above in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
• Background in mechanical engineering, mechanical design, electrical engineering, strong technical expertise in LF (High Power Charging or Wire & Cable) or microwave technologies
• Experience in design of new products on CAD systems in 2D & 3D / preferably on CATIA
• Application know-how in the field of connectivity solutions with focus on RF or LF technology
• Good understanding of metallic manufacturing processes and best practice in design
• Experience in leading people in an international R&D environment with the ability to communicate effectively between various internal departments, together with H+S Switzerland, customers and suppliers. 5+ years of R&D leadership with multi‑disciplinary team management
• Push for results, getting things done, but involving the team
• Quality driven “Quality first” mentality. Drive product and process quality improvement initiatives. Strong discipline of solid root cause analysis and sustainable solving of quality issues
• Experience in global matrix organizations
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken); German is an advantage
• Able to use MS office, 2D/3D engineering, AI and simulation tools
