Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
Within Retail Australia, the Data and Analytics team plays a critical role in helping make smarter, data-driven decisions. It brings together three key sub-functions: Data Management, Analytics and Insights, and AI and Machine Learning, each focused on turning data into value.
This team is responsible for building and maintaining the data foundations that support everything from regulatory reporting to customer insights and advanced AI applications. Whether it’s ensuring data quality, uncovering trends, or powering intelligent tools, the team helps ANZ deliver better outcomes for customers and the business.
The Head of Data Management provides leadership with a combined strategic and operational mandate for how the division manages its data and reduces data risk. This role leads and develops teams accountable for end-to-end management of Retail data that protects, improves and provides governed data for driving customer and business value, while adhering to legal, ethical and risk management needs.
This role is pivotal in transforming current Data Management, partnering with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Data Management to simplify and improve data governance and data risk management practices, and to embed accountabilities and implement processes.
The role provides data leadership for the Retail functions to produce high quality data that is fit for purpose, and to govern the use of that data by the data and analytics team, and other consumers, to realise value for ANZ and its customers.
