The Head of Corporate Communication
is responsible for the implementation
and day-to-day management of internal
and external communications, CSR and sponsorship initiatives, external relations, and
stakeholder engagement,under the supervision and direction of the Chief Communications Officer.

The role focuses
on delivering impactful communication activities that enhance visibility,
strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support the achievement of corporate
goals. Working in close alignment with the Head of Branding and Marketing to
ensure consistency of messaging, positioning and brand expression, the Head of Corporate Communication interfaces
with diverse internal and external stakeholders and proactively contributes to
the successful implementation of the Bank’s communications agenda. Strong relationship-building,
communication, project management and leadership capabilities are essential to
supporting and reinforcing BIL's reputation as an innovative and
entrepreneurial Bank.

Your next challenge:

External Communications:

Under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer, the
Head of Corporate Communications:

  • Coordinates communication
    support for corporate events, sponsorships, partnerships, and community
    initiatives.
  • Coordinates the development
    and dissemination of press releases, media communications, corporate
    announcements, and external content.
  • In alignment with the Head
    of Branding and Marketing, oversees the publication of corporate content
    across external communication channels, including the corporate website
    and social media platforms.
  • Supports media engagement
    activities, including interview coordination, briefing preparation, and
    spokesperson support.
  • Monitors media coverage and
    communication performance, providing recommendations to the Chief
    Communications Officer for continuous improvement.Contributes to
    reputation management activities and supports communication responses
    during issues or crisis situations.


Internal Communications

Under the direction of the Chief Communications Officer, the
Head of Corporate Communications:

  • Executes internal
    communication plans that support business priorities and organizational
    objectives.
  • Oversees the delivery of
    timely, clear, and consistent communications to employees.
  • Manages internal
    communication channels, including the intranet and employee communication
    platforms.
  • Coordinates communications
    related to organizational developments, transformation projects, and
    change initiatives.
  • Lead Townhall preparation
    and execution (logistics and content)
    In alignment with HR, promotes
    the Bank's culture, values, purpose, and strategic priorities through
    effective internal storytelling.
  • Coordinates communications
    relating to CSR, employee engagement, and corporate culture initiatives.
  • Monitors employee feedback
    and communication effectiveness, proposing enhancements where appropriate.

Team and Functional Management

Under the direction
of the Chief Communications Officer, the Head of Corporate Communications:

  • Manages the day-to-day
    activities and performance of the Corporate Communications team.
  • Ensures the efficient
    delivery of communication projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Provides guidance, coaching,
    and support to team members, fostering collaboration and professional
    development.
  • Establishes effective
    processes and quality standards to ensure consistency across communication
    activities.
  • Acts as a trusted
    communication partner for internal stakeholders, providing advice on
    communication planning and execution.
  • Identifies opportunities to
    enhance communication impact through innovation, best practices, and new
    communication tools.
  • Supports the Chief
    Communications Officer in achieving the objectives of the Communications
    function and the broader corporate agenda.

Your skills:

  • 10+ years’ professional experience at management level in Corporate Communications, Internal and External Communications, CSR, Media Relations and Corporate Events, including several years in a management position. Proven experience in developing and implementing communications plans, stakeholder engagement initiatives, sponsorship and high-profile events.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and inspire communications professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and innovation.
  • Sound understanding of the regional, international and multicultural environments in which BIL operates.
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken. Luxemburgish would be an asset.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong team leader who inspires, coaches and develops others while fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, anticipating communication needs and responding effectively to emerging challenges.
  • Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Organized and disciplined, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Resilient and composed under pressure, particularly in sensitive or fast-moving situations.
  • Pragmatic and business-oriented, balancing creativity with operational effectiveness.

  • High level of professional integrity, discretion and sound judgment.
  • Results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
