Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Head of Contracts to lead our contracts management function at our North Coast, Egypt location. This is a senior leadership position for a seasoned professional with over 20 years of expertise in contracts management, negotiation, and legal compliance. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of contract lifecycle management, drive organizational strategy, and lead a high-performing team to ensure optimal contract performance and risk mitigation.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the contracts management team, fostering a culture of excellence, professional development, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement comprehensive contracts management strategies aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the negotiation, drafting, review, and execution of complex contracts across multiple business units and stakeholder groups
• Analyze contract terms, conditions, and legal implications to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian legal frameworks, international standards, and organizational policies in all contract-related activities
• Establish and maintain standardized contract templates, processes, and documentation systems to enhance efficiency and consistency
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and contract renewal negotiations
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of existing contracts to optimize terms and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management on contract performance, risks, and strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, operations, and legal departments to ensure seamless contract management across the organization
• Stay current with industry best practices, legal developments, and emerging trends in contracts management

Qualifications

• Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in contracts management, legal affairs, or related field
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and analysis
• Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance requirements, and risk management principles
• Demonstrated experience with Egyptian legal framework and international contract standards
• Proficiency in contract management software and systems (e.g., CLM platforms, document management tools)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex contractual situations
• Strong leadership and team management experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is preferred
• Organized and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple contracts and stakeholders simultaneously
• Ability to make decisive decisions under pressure while maintaining professional standards
• Experience in vendor and supplier management
• Project management experience in contract-related initiatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
