The Role

The Head of Configuration and Planning is responsible for the delivery, planning, estimation, and resource management of Configuration teams across Professional Services International. This role owns the Configuration delivery strategy, ensures alignment with Implementation, Product & Development, and Global IT, and is accountable for the Quality Assurance (QA) framework and execution across all regions, guaranteeing consistent quality standards and governance. Reporting to the Global Head of Professional Services, the role provides global leadership across multiple regions and drives standardisation, scalability, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and lead configuration delivery across multiple regions and countries within Professional Services International.
  • Define and execute the Quality Assurance (QA) strategy for Configuration, ensuring consistent quality standards, governance, and continuous improvement across all regions.
  • Establish and maintain planning, estimation, and resource management processes for Configuration squads.
  • Own the routing and management of planned and BAU demand into Configuration teams.
  • Align Configuration planning and delivery with Product & Development release cycles and Implementation timelines.
  • Act as a cross-functional leader, collaborating closely with Implementation, Product & Development, and Global IT.
  • Drive standardisation of processes, tooling, and best practices across Configuration teams.
  • Ensure delivery is aligned with local Professional Services and Implementation teams, balancing global standards with regional needs.
  • Lead and develop Configuration Team Leaders and Configuration Engineers across regions.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in software delivery and project management within complex, international environments.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale transformation programs and leading high-performing, distributed teams using Agile methodologies.
  • Strong background in release management, managing multiple release cycles across countries and regions.
  • Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance governance, quality frameworks, and continuous improvement models.
  • Excellent leadership, prioritisation, and stakeholder management skills in global, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance delivery speed, quality, and risk.
  • Technical background with experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, and configuration-related technologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of JIRA and Confluence as delivery and governance tools.
